A place to list your favourite groups / performers and the one song of theirs that's your current / permanent favourite (which can be edited if it changes).
Or... a song that you absolutely love performed by a group / performer that aren't necessarily one of your favourites.
Each time, for clarity, list the group first if it's them you prefer, followed by the name of your current favourite song of theirs. Or list the song first if it's that you prefer, followed by the performer.

And, in order not to put off other posters who might want to join in, let's try not to be too judgmental or dismissive over other people's tastes. Not that I have anyone in mind when I post that. ;)

My (plethora of) choices:

Bon Jovi - Wanted Dead Or Alive
Rolling Stones - Gimme Shelter
The Who - Won't Get Fooled Again
Led Zeppelin - Kashmir
Kinks - Days
The Faces - Tin Soldier
Eagles - The Last Resort
The Band - The Weight
Johnny Cash - Ring of Fire
Bruce Springsteen - Born To Run*
Counting Crows - Colourblind
Matchbox Twenty - If You're Gone
REM - Everybody Hurts
Nirvana - Lithium
Gram Parsons - Return of the Grievous Angel
Steeleye Span - Let Her Go Down
ABBA - Fernando
Emmylou Harris - Born To Run* (different songs)
Sarah McLachlan - Angel
Joni Mitchell - River
Sheryl Crow - I Shall Believe
Dolly Parton - Coat Of Many Colours

Bad Moon Rising - Creedence Clearwater Revival
Sylvia's Mother - Dr Hook
Queen of the Silver Dollar - Dr Hook
Cat's In The Cradle - Harry Chapin
Dignity - Deacon Blue
Run - Snow Patrol
Street Spirit - Radiohead
Clocks - Coldplay
Sweet Home Alabama - Lynyrd Skynyrd
This Land Is Your Land - Woody Guthrie

Not many there that I know about - but Days instead of Waterloo Sunset? Really?

On a completely different note I would like to record my favourite MUSICAL MOMENT.
That wonderful picture of the judges faces when Susan Boyle shoved their smug, pretentious egos right up their collective arseholes.
