Coaching at the Spanish FA for people getting their A license is not just kids football, and doing that for the Spanish FA obviously have faith in him to do that, to me shows he must have something about him. Also from my contacts in the club I know how highly thought if he is, and I know that he does eventually want to go for a managers job.
No but it's not managing a professional club week in week out either is it? There is a big difference between purely coaching for an FA versus managing a club in a professional league week in week out - dealing with transfers, managing personalities/players, coaching them etc. Not just to any standard, but to a standard good enough to win the league.
Again, I really rate Rubio and hope that one day he could be our manager, but right now I just don't think he has the credentials we are seeking for a manager to win promotion back to League One.
