Really nice bloke, jokes that hes surprised any MK Dons fan would want to meet him. Still gutted about that final day but living a good life out here

I felt for him against Burton. Like Pete W, I was convinced we would score the goal we needed.

33 shots but we couldn't score - that is more than we had in the whole of February this season. He remembered that exact number too when he said it to me, so clearly still on his mind.

Jacko walked into a mess, and maybe wasn't the right man for the time, and he couldn't turn it around. I have no bitterness towards him

I have no bitterness toward him either but we were hopeless. The only time I felt we'd score/should've scored was the scramvle at the end. The rest was shit. The fact we look back on that as a nearly moment always frustrates me, it wouldn't have been anything to celebrate - it'd have been a shambles of a season even if we'd scored, not a miraculous escape. We were shocking and I look back on absolutely none of that period with fondness.

Just tooked a look at the stats. xG of 2.73 and a total of 33 shots. But yeah, the only thing I really remember is that scramble at the end.

I doubt anybody would look at that period with fondness nor would it have been a celebration, merely a sense of relief that we didn't drop down. But I don't think it is wrong to have a level of sympathy for a manager in their first head coach job taking on a difficult task and couldn't get it done - and no I'm not saying he did a good job. Just knowing one scuffed shot to the left or right of a defender on the line or a small deflection would have meant no relegation and everything that has come with it

Dan Micciche has had nothing but ridicule since he left for exactly the same thing. One of our own. An MK man responsible for a lot of good in the early days of the club, but nothing short of ridicule. I wish no ill will to Jackson, but I literally have absolutely no interest on his career.

It is interesting to see the contrast in response to them both, and you are right Micciche does come under a lot more criticism. I wonder if expectations were slightly higher at the time, a perceived better squad or taking over a team outside of the relegation zone play a factor? And maybe Jackson has been cut some slack because how much worse it has got since his departure where we saw an instant bounce after relegation previously? I hadn't really compared the two previously.

It does surprise me a tad that somebody with no interest in somebody's career would click on a thread dedicated to said individuals career though. I just thought I'd leave some comments on an interaction I had.

I like the interaction - and if i had met him I'd be the same.
I dont dislike or hate him, I just don't get the fondness.

I also read every thread

I liked him and he did bring Max Dean to the club. Whether he's a good manager or not, I don't know, but I'm glad he's done well down under.
