I'd hope it was just this. But people listen to his weird opinions and agree with them. I guess it's because, as Christopher Hitchens said, we're all under-evolved apes. If I allowed myself, I could get very, very depressed about the state of humanity.

You need to read Hans Rosling again. There’s a lot more positive in the world than negative. Unfortunately the positive is less newsworthy.

Good shout. However, there’s been a lot of criticism of his assumptions, after he died.

Meta also towing the MAGA line as Zuckerberg announces that they’re doing away with factchecks. I should imagine the next four years are going to be interesting to say the least. If all else fails I’m going to take the Panama Canal by force, make Canada a subsidiary of Stony, spend my retirement fund on buying Greenland, and last but certainly not least I’m renaming The Gulf of Mexico The Gulf of Stony.

What can possibly go wrong!

I can't trump that.

I have to say some of the community notes on Twitter have been bloody brilliant. From sports highlights to politics there have been some crackers.

For me I stay on Twitter. I largely just follow football accounts. I remain on Spotify despite hating and not caring about 99% of the shit on there, same with Instagram. I focus on what I want to read. I see the odd Elon post and a stupid amount of tits under sports articles - but if I'm honest it adds something more interesting to the conversation than most Twitter keyboard warrior PL fans on the platform
