Hi everyone.

A bit of a different post from me today, but I am running Palermo marathon next week (17th November).

I have been on a bit of a journey, from 7 months ago not being able to run for 30 seconds to completing a 32KM race 2 weeks ago in Nottingham. In the last 7 months I have clicked up over 530KM in my training, lost about 30lbs and my resting heart rate has gone from 70bpm to 50bpm, which is quite insane tbh.

I am raising money for Mind charity, I have chosen this as my mum has suffered all my life with ill mental health, rather badly, and obviously in honour of my good friend Harry, who as many of you know was a regular in these parts, and a huge Dons fan who took his life a few years ago now.

Any words of support or advice are massively appreciated, and if anyone can spare a pound or two to my donation that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone.

Go on mate! Thats a great achievement, worthy cause and huge personal growth! You sound like youve got all the tools and preperation to smash the distance! Will be thinking of your efforts on the day and will put some money in the pot. Good luck!

That’s very kind of you, thank you very much. Think I could do with some of your positivity. I was buzzing today as it was my last long run, but bloody hell this has been hard

That’s some achievement BCS, well done.

I will gladly put some cash in your fund raising pot, MIND is a wonderful charity, best wishes for the Palermo marathon!
