There’s a player in there somewhere, he showed flashes of brilliance at times, but I’m not sure if he fits the system we play, I wouldn’t want him as a wing back, but where else could he play?

Fairly sure he’ll be shipped out in January if he’s back from injury

As one of the wide forwards.

Am I missing something we don't play with wide forwards?

Whilst maybe not as wide as more traditional wingers, I'd say they are 'wide forwards'. The heatmaps on the right would at least indicate they spent a decent wack of time wide

Leko from what I have seen is a completely different player to Gilbey or White and therefore if we assume Gilbey and White are playing as Scott Lindsey wants Leko doesn't fit in as a replacement, if anything he would be more likely be an option to cover for Nemane

I hope he is given a chance to come back and nail a place in this team. Whether he takes that chance is up to him.

We need to be able to rest / rotate players - we can't really do that right now with the attacking midfielders. Gilbey desperately needs a break, White has been hit and miss, Wearne is playing at a level above where he should be.

I'm not sure where he will end up. Before signing for us Leko has been a number 9 as well as a winger. So there's options. From what I've seen he is more explosive than Gilbey or White, I could see him used in a similar position but displaying different traits. We didn't expect Gilbey would be playing the role he is now when he resigned, he was more of a central box to box player during his previous spell for us.

Still reckon he could be good for us under Lindsey's coaching. ETA?

2025 was the last I heard. I think you could flip a coin with Leko as to whether he will be any good or not. He will be coming back from a serious injury so my expectations in the short term will be realistic. He's not got long really to get up to speed, with his contract up at the end of the season I believe? I really do hope he can make an impact in the second half of the season as he is completely different to anyone we have.

The over option is that he leaves, but it's a big gamble for a club to take in January, especially if he's played little to no football in 12 months.

TLDR : Heads or Tails

He could be an impact substitute.

In the Berks and Bucks cup starting line up. Delighted for him and hopefully he gets through unscathed.

Would absolutely love for him to get some game time before the end of the season and absolutely smash it. Really hope he does and we offer him a 1year deal.
