Tuchels record stands up to any scrutiny in terms of success. I am not sure that way he wants to get there is all that popular but show me a nice guy manager and Ill show you a sparse trophy cabinet.

Carlo Ancelotti?
(Can't think of many more to be honest...)

Bob Paisley.

Im pretty sure Bob Paisly doesnt fit that bill. There is this image of a kindly old gentleman wandering around the club with his pipe and slippers but having read several books about the man, I think he wasnt very liked but many of his players due to extreme stubborness, total focus on a very small group of players and an uncompromising way of doing things. Succesful, undoubtedly but a nice guy, Im not so sure and I feel that the latter is what begot the former.

Ancellotti is an interesting shout. I dont know too much about him but on the surface he might be an exception that proves the rule but it would be no surprise to learn in future that he was also ruthless.

Damn you found me out. Lionel and Scaloni were Marlon Brando's cotton balls.
