Which of their policies led to you voting for them, rather than, say, the Tories?

Well I was never in any danger of voting conservative, but I would say raising the income tax threshold to £20,000 was a big one, as well as implementing proportional representation, and starting the switchover to nuclear power.

Where exactly was that money going to come from to raise the threshold?

Surely you’ve learnt something from Brexit? Lies, lies and more lies from the fascist. The fact that just over the majority fell for the lies once is bad enough but to fall for them again is very concerning

I can see you have obviously made up your mind and that's fair enough, what I would say is that everyone has their opinion, and by definition, everyone with an opinion thinks they're right. There are millions who disagree with you just as vehemently as you them. Please try to bear that in mind.

As for tax thresholds, they have not risen with inflation whatsoever and are overdue a raise. When people keep more of the money they earn they will spend more so it's not like the money goes out of the tax system. But either way, we're three trillion pounds in debt already, so who cares, right? ;)

My point is, is that Farage lied tirelessly during the Brexit campaign, including the £350mil to the NHS stuff. It was all complete bollocks and now we’re all impacted by the 50 or so % that believed him and voted for that disaster.

Increasing the threshold to £20k is just ludicrous and would cripple the UK. Him getting into power would have collapsed the pound, as we saw with the mini budget.

What will it take for people to stop believing the lies of farage?

I wouldn't put too much faith in nulear energy either and that isn't taking account of the environmental concerns.

They got 4 MPs. Fair enough. But so did the Greens. Yet all I have seen all day is Farage, Farage, Farage. I still don't even know the name of the Greens leader!!

To an extent, I think you've answered your own question. (Not that you phrased it as such, but you get my meaning).

Nope, sorry.

Nope, sorry.

My point is that Farage is vastly more well known that whoever is leader of the Green party, so will as such receive more media attention (and scrutiny). Couple that with Reform recieving a vastly higher share of the vote, and there's your answer.

Thanks for that. They’re not for me but it’s good to see that some of their support comes from a reasonable position, as we know that some (stress: some) of their support comes from a dark place.

On the specifics, the tax threshold increase would be tough to fund and would almost certainly lead to further cuts in areas that are already stressed. I’ve never been a fan of nuclear power as we still don’t have satisfactory long term answers to waste storage and decommissioning. PR is probably due another national debate as there is no right or wrong answers on that. I’m currently pro first past the post but I’d be willing to change my mind if I heard a persuasive argument.

It’s a flawed and some would say useless indicator of intelligence. Mine’s supposedly 138. But I can barely do basic maths. Which suggests that it probably is a crap measurement.
