Whilst in COVID exile I stumbled across a Horizon documentary on BBC iPlayer
Hubble: The Wonders of Space Revealed yesterday
https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m000hjpw/horizon-2020-hubble-the-wonders-of-space-revealedMade in 2020 for the 30th anniversary of Hubble, this tells the story of the orbiting telescope through the astronauts and scientists who launched and maintained it via a number of space shuttle missions, culminating in the most recent service and upgrade of ultra sensitive and long range cameras. Some of the images and details of far, far distant galaxies are just mind blowing
You don't have to be a geek or a scientist to appreciate this (luckily/unluckily? I'm neither) but it really is well worth look, and is both accessible and inspiring at the same time
Catch it quickly though as it's only up for another 13 days - definitely recommended
This is indeed a great watch. I love Horizon programmes, always something worth watching.
If you like your space docs (lol) this is also brilliant. It's the story of Voyager from Storyville:
