I really didn't rate Anora - 6/10.

Black Bag - 7.5/10. Spies doing a lot of talking without much action. Probably more like real life. Good cast.

We saw Anora when it came out and thought it was OK, but nothing special

One of those films that wasn't sure what it was really about - part gangster, part rom-com, part crime romp - but definitely over long and too slow. Full credit to Mikey Madison for a substantial performance, although I'm still surprised by so many Oscar wins - but fair enough

On the other hand we've just got in from seeing Black Bag, which was absolutely wonderful. Another of those films with a script that allows the main actors to really flourish - great performances from Michael Fassbender and Cate Blanchet - but its the Steven Soderbergh style that makes it so effortless, almost velvety smooth, strongly reminiscent of the Oceans series

Steven Soderbergh ghost story told from the perspective of the ghost (the camera is the ghost's "eyes"). Surprisingly kept my interest throughout. Not a horror by any means, and it's all set in one house. One scene did make me cack my grundies though as it was so unexpected.

7/10

Part gangster and part rom com? Got to be a niche market that lol

We saw Interstellar on the BFI IMAX at Waterloo on Friday night - a re-watch but the first time I've seen it on the big screen

A thoughtful and emotional film without being overly sentimental, but heartbreaking and uplifting at the same time. The space visuals on the IMAX screen were absolutely breathtaking, highlighting some incredible cinematography. Seen this way it had an epic and almost ethereal quality - cinema at its finest

The Amateur with Rami Malek.

Not a bad take on a CIA / revenge movie but I spent half the film trying not to look at his chin.
My problem, not his. 8/10 maybe.
