You can trace it back to that awful summer window with Manning - Winkie tried to repeat the success of Darling, Twine, O'Hora etc on the cheap, and on doing so left Manning with a dud hand and undid all of the positives from the season before. Its been a perpetual clusterfuck since then.

That window has to be the worst we ever had. Had it been better, we may well still have Manning as manager and still be knocking around L1 playoffs or better.

But Manning couldn't get a tune out of the 12 duds we signed - no-one could.

This. We signed 2 shit right backs on loan ffs. It was an absolute disaster of a transfer window.

Weird thing is most of this is linked with other things. If you say the recruitment has been poor then that is down to Sweeting. If you blame the training ground fiasco then Winkies short sightedness is the problem. Personally quick fixes do not yield big results. As I say the decline has been over years. It will take years for things to improve. So calm your shit folks.

Interesting to note only 4% of the votes felt SL was to blame.

... or at least those people don't put him in their *top three* to blame. As others have said, you can make a case for every option above being an ingredient in the cocktail of shit that is MK Dons!

SL is not *blameless* and cannot argue with being fired. He had half his Crawley team here in the end but just couldn't inspire or organise them to get a result.

It could be argued Lindsey's influence has led to the recruitment and churn of players

Also interesting that 18% blame the training ground fiasco, that’s not a new thing, we’ve endured this from the outset, even got promoted to the championship training on dog shit infested pitches.

This needs addressing urgently, but we can’t use it as an excuse for playing so bad on match days
