I said before the play off semi final we must drop tucker and harvie- both were disgraceful in the final few games of the season, they had completely lost focus. They were both astonishingly bad in the play off games - truly appalling. Although tucker had some good games earlier this season, him thumping a long ball down the channel against tranmere in the last minute of injury time that led to them scoring I think turned Lindsay right against him.

A failed signing in every sense of the word.

I believe it was the last EFL Trophy game which sealed his fate, especially where he differed and lost the ball (again). He seems incapable of making his mind up before he gets the ball and regularly makes the wrong decision.

This. Countless occasions over the past 2 years I've seen him wait too long and stuck between the simple option and the wrong option and he loses the ball anyway.

I think its because his natural inclination is to hit it long. As thats not what successive managers have wanted so his mind takes longer than he has available to make a different decision. He will most likely be fine in a different team with a different philosophy.

So why did we sign him to be a ball playing defender then?

The last Alexander game where we drew 2 2 and the opponent - was it barrow? - scored 2 in injury time: we conceded the first goal , took kick off and passed it back to tucker. We just needed to keep the ball for 90 seconds and that’s it , we win. I remember tucker just launched it down field under no pressure at all, I saw Alexander go absolutely nuts on the touchline . Ball turned over straight from our kick off, they go up the pitch and score again.

As that goal went in it’s the only time supporting Dons I properly lost it. I remember leaping out of my seat, charging down the steps to the front tow yelling at our defence and tucker in particular until my kids dragged me back to my seat. Astonishingly bad football that not even a kids team would do.

Well thats not a question for me!!

He isnt and has never shown a single moment where he looks like he is a ball playing defender. He can make passes obviously but thats not the player he is I dont think.

I recall one of his very early games with us where, after the aerobic warm up prior to a match he spent the rest if the time hitting long balls to a youth player in the opposing half. That was it. Run, stretch, hit long balls.

That goal lead to Alexander getting the sack didn't it? In which case I'd 100% say Tucker's been a great signing for this club

I remember him giving the ball away late on against Shrewsbury which lead to us dropping points at the start of Jacko's tenure in charge. We had just strung together a few decent performances as well and it all came crashing down in an instant.

Yeah, the EFL Trophy game, when he thought he might do one thing, changed his mind and did nothing, probably the worst bit of defending i`ve seen since Sunday league football in 1997, when one of our CB`s decided to go for a fag, leaving us totally exposed at the back, poor decision that
