Really shocked by this news, listened every weekday to his Steve Wright in the afternoon radio 1 show, back in the 80s, madcap fun and a very entertaining chap, will be missed R.I.P Steve

Bye Steve, loved the show.

Was talking to someone about Steve Wright the other day, saying his time and style of jockin' (no g) had come and gone by now, but he was excellent in his prime.

I used to really like Mr Angry (from Purley IIRC).

Loved the show!

Steve Wright was fantastic, a true legend of radio alongside the likes of Terry Wogan and Ken Bruce (fortunately Ken is still around).

Loved the old Radio 2 line up of Ken Bruce, Steve Wright and Simon Mayo (was never a fan of Jeremy Vine in the middle of it all). With Ken and Simon now at Greatest Hits Radio I had expected Steve to turn up there with his Big Show too, but sadly that will never happen now.

Thanks for the Serious Jockin (no g)
