Maybe Tucker was a key reason why Gillingham were so bad defensively last season?

Bit of a stretch. Cumming was also in goal for Gillingham for the first half of the season. Do you blame him too?

Tucker is a decent, young, centre back. If we hadn’t had Darling, I’m sure we would all see it that way. I think he will become a very good player.

He's been OK defensively. His passing has been poor, but then again he's probably never played in a team that looks to play out from the back. And it's not like our midfielders have helped him much by showing for the ball.

I do like how two-footed he is.

I think this is the main difference between this season and last. Darling had O'Riley and Twine to play it to. I think when JMc is back playing, Tucker will improve, as JMc is brilliant at getting into space to keep the ball moving

I think Josh's absence if currently affecting us more than anything

Stats may have looked good but he didn’t pass the eye test. A couple of big mistakes that could have led to goals conceded. Stats don’t tell the whole story.

They tend to show a pattern that will play out over the course of the season. I would be concerned your eye test would be looking at the more negative aspects.

His brother Chris is better. His mate Jackie once caught a bullet.
