I’m not one to slag off away fans and I thought their numbers were very impressive. Fair play to any club that can bring almost 7,000 fans to a league one game.

However, whilst there were a couple occasions where they were quite loud, for the most part they didn’t really sing at all. I was expecting much more given the numbers and their recent form. It felt a bit like they were 1-0 down.

I think this shows how good our away support is, even if the numbers are a fraction of what the likes of Ipswich take. Don fans away from home make continuous noise.

Fair enough.
I'll be more succinct: F- off back to Tractor Land and thanks for all the money.

Their core away fans will be a lot less than 7K. And that hardcore will have been diluted by being in amongst the day-trippers. Not surprising. But no criticism from me, either about the regular away day fans, or the day-trippers.

And to the lurking Tractor Boys, thank you for financing Franchise Football. :)

Spoke to a couple of Ipswich fans before and a group of three after the game and I have to say they were the friendliest away fans I have ever met at MKD. I said that to the last group and one replied that their fans were generally accepted as being friendly.
The worst were Sheffield Wednesday some seasons ago, I had to pull Mrs LD away from a small group as she was about to "sort them out." :o

Got to agree with that and should have mentioned it in my original post. They seemed like a decent set of fans.

It's funny - it maybe the good ole S:MK acoustics but from the Family Corner I thought they sounded pretty good?

Loud noise frequently during the game and the most of it was positive support for the Tractor Boys, this and 7K in League One is pretty impressive IMHO

I think any club's fans would have to really go out of their way to get remotely near how cuntish Swindon fans are. Even worse than AFC.

I was really impressed with the Ipswich fans. Really loud when they wanted to be. As Keyser said paradoxically more fans can actually make them quieter overall as the hardcore away following is diluted by more casual fans. So 6k will never be 6x louder than 1k for example. But I think if they scored we would have really heard them.

In the periods they were singing they were loud, especially first half, but thought across the game they didn't make noise as much as other big followings have. Wolves and Coventry were decent all the way through.

Understandable given how the game petered out though.
