I had my first jab yesterday, second one booked for 30 April. :D

No side effects at all.

Not the 12 week gap we have here in the UK then?

I was wondering that. Shome mishtake shurely??

I’m in Singapore.

Ah, that explains the shorter waiting time: I heard the jabs are a bit more random over there - decided by raffles. ;)

:D

Damn media at it again, talking up the alleged but unproven risk of blood clots. Some Governments even suspending use of some jabs.

If you are in hospital for an operation the surgeon will come and explain what he intends to do and will warn you of possible risk of fatality for that operation of say 100,000 to 1, or whatever.

There have apparently been 7 cases of fatal blood clots in the UK which may or may not be connected to the vaccine, but even assuming they are it is a risk of better than 4 million to 1.

Safer that any operation, so what is all the fuss about ?

Very much this.

And if the Germans don't want the AZ vaccine, all the more for the countries that do.

Yep, agree too.

Yep, agree too.

And me. Which is why France and the rest of the continent are entering yet another lockdown while we're all out in our gardens with our friends and relatives.

All of these
Plus, why has there not been an investigation into the Pfizer vaccine? It’s also been attributed to a similar amount of cases regarding blood clots.

The EU are making a complete pigs ear of the vaccination roll out

Second (Pfizer) jab yesterday.
Nothing horrid. Vague tiredness/headache but that's about it - could be due to red wine....

Just found out that the wife of a friend from my past, late middle aged, got a blood clot on the brain after her first AZ dose. Nearly died but will now live very much like a stroke victim. My mate is giving up his job to become her carer.

I know it's incredibly rare but it kinda feels different when it's close to home. Like if you knew someone who won the big prize on the lotto.

Life's a strange old thing.
