Just had my first jab quite literally just now. Couldn't have been any easier. Fantastically well organized. Free parking, taken straight through, in and out in less than 10mins.

Good stuff. Hopefully no reaction.
As I said in OP had some mild discomfort in arm but nothing horrid. (Never had any reaction to a flu jab either).
Presuming second dose will pass without incident whenever it comes through.

Unfortunately not. I've woken up this morning and feel as if someone has run me over with a bus. Feeling really rough. But I was told to expect this, and it should pass pretty quickly.

I've seen it said that if you get a reaction it is a sign that the vaccine has properly taken effect.

Which is a little worrying as I have felt perfectly fine with no side effects whatsoever.

I was told by the nurse to expect some sort of reaction. I felt pretty rough from around 7 last night, which made recording the podcast a laugh, but by 9 I really was dog rough.
Lay awake most of the night, soaking wet with sweat. Got up around 5am, took some paracetamol, and by 9 I was back to normal.

I've anecdotal evidence that the symptoms quite literally disappear in minutes, and that's exactly what happened to me.

Yeah, some doctor on 'Good Morning Britain' this morning said exactly that.
Tested negative today.

Interesting update this morning. Absolutely full of beans. Never felt so awake. Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this side-effect?

Yes I did. I assumed it was the placebo effect and the relief that followed the jab.

Just had mine, so I'll keep you updated if there's anything noteworthy.

I'm approaching mid-thirties and was lucky enough to get offered a jab due to having slightly high liver enzymes for some reason - either way I was classed as being at increased risk.

Had mine (Pfizer) in mid-Feb, next one due mid-May. Was a slick operation at a local health centre near me, went in gave my name, told to sit in a booth, didn't feel a thing (not even a slight pressure), then had to sit around for 15 minutes for the observation period and then left. Only side effect I had was a sore/aching arm for a couple of days but that disappeared almost overnight.

Impressed.
