Another thread I couldn't see before.

After a disappointing loan spell at Luton last season he joined Exeter this summer.

Scored his first goal for Exeter yesterday in a 2-0 win vs Sutton, rounding the keeper after a decent break away which looks likes he started after dispossessing the defender. He also played a significant part in their first goal showing a burst of pace and good strength before having his shot turned in by a defender, which was given as an own goal.

By all accounts he is getting good reviews down there, even if he's not scoring many.

He's scored in the next two matches as well, so 3 in the last 3 games for him.

Of all the ex-players, Nombe is probably the one I look for first after the MK and Sunderland scorers. Him and perhaps Aneke. I wonder what might have been if he'd managed to cling on while Martin was binning him off, a la Boateng.

I'm pleased for him. He seems like a player who suffered from the "not liked by Russell" thing like a few others. He'd have been an asset here but I don't think he's been missed but doesn't mean Im not happy to see him do well

A bit like Alby above, I am really pleased he's doing well. I think ultimately his ceiling will be League One and I said that at the time he left for Luton, but hope he proves me wrong.

Suffered another hamstring injury on Saturday, the second since December. Almost certainly means his season is over, hopefully not his career.

I'm hoping it's still the joys of a developing body with Nombe, but I fear it's not. He's a very powerful athlete and no doubt this puts a lot of strain on his body. Hopefully it passes, but he's most likely going to need to adapt his body and/or his game to carve out a decent career in the EFL.

When I first read this my reaction was 'bit OTT', but actually you're probably right. For a striker reliant on pace this could be really damaging in the long term.

Came off the bench yesterday, and scored pretty much instantly to send Exeter to the top of the table!
