Came on in the 60th minute for his debut in European Conference League qualifying. Grabs an assist 4 minutes after coming on and then scores a penalty

A pretty decent start for the lad

I don't think a ban applies to European competition

Scored the opening goal in Gent's 4 - 2 away win at Club Brugge.

I still cant believe the new owners let him go, when they didn't have a ready made replacement

The new owners didn’t let him go. He left under Winkelman.

He also couldn’t be playing L2 football this season. He’s too good and too promising. Let’s just be glad he is kicking on and improving (and I hope there is a sell on fee clause!!)

The owner transfer was already going through, they could have made it a precondition that they had a veto on any sales. had we kept him and he helped us to promotion his stock would have risen even higher,

You’re being unrealistic. Dean was always going this summer, no matter our finances.

No club at this level, regardless of wealth, would have kept him. He deserved to take a step up while the opportunity was there.

No it wouldn't. He needed to make the move, for his sake and we also got a very good fee for him. We're a fourth division club, it was entirely proper he moved on with no hard feelings.

Another year in the fourth tier would not have raised his value and would likely have in fact decreased it. His stock was highest in the summer.
