Missed out on the Denmark team to the Euro's. A lot of people seem surprised and rightly so

From that article

It’s been reported that recently promoted EPL side Southampton are preparing to bid big to land Matt O’Riley. No exact figure has been mentioned, but it’s likely to eclipse the £25 million we received for both Kieran Tierney and Jota.

Looking like the fee is heading towards Celtics valuation

Atalanta have sent new bid for Matt O’Riley worth €17/18m package.

Celtic want more as club sources confirm but negotiations are underway to make it happen.

£14.3m. Seems remarkably low

Transfer fees are all over the place at the moment. Napoli bidding £8million for Scotland international Billy Gilmour, who played 41 games ijn all comps for Brighton last year. Yet Omari Kellyman with 2 sub PL appearances to Chelsea for £19million. As good as he has been and we believe he can be he is still only playing in the SPL and not even a regularly with the Denmark team yet.

As good as he has been for Celtic, unless other teams actually start bidding, I can see him going for less than £20million. Celtic typically cash in one or two each season, and let's not forget Edouard who'd scored 65 goals in 3 league seasons went for around £14million just a few years back.

Don't ever use Chelsea as a comparison ever again. Whilst I understand the point you're making, trust me I do, if you offered them half a Daim bar for £1 they'd buy it off you for a tenner and then sell you a big box of Lindt for the pound you'd have taken for the Daim bar.

I don't see what the rush is to sell him tbh. He seems very happy there going off his social media posts, so unless he's expressed a keen desire to leave I don't see why Celtic don't keep him until January to boost his value further. He'll leave and have one decent season in the Prem/La Liga/Serie A and suddenly he's worth £70m.

Then again, Celtic will know that and will probably be happy to sell him cheap and put in an even larger sell on clause of 40%/50% or something.
