I was absolutely gutted when he left, so its great to have him back. His end product can be a bit ropey at times, but his work rate, leadership and energy are a must. Would have been nice to have had him last season. Still think theres some improvements to be made, but I think I could echo that statement for pretty much all the first team squad!

My player of the season so far. Just wish we had more like him.

Superb in the last 2 games. Really suits the system and being able to make runs in behind. Adding some goals to his game as well. I've got a real soft spot for Gilbs and he's probably in my top 5 favourite Dons players. He's very likable.

Gilbey's role in the last two games reminds me a bit of when Manning played Kasumu more advanced on the last day of the season of Plymouth. Both proper athletes who can stretch the defence from deep and press.

Gilbey was brilliant yesterday

Him and dean never stopped running and set the tempo for the rest of the team.

Alex continues his brilliant form and will shortly break into the top ten league appearances for the club, he is climbing the goal scoring charts and looks set both to add a fourth! player of the season award and the permanent captaincy of the club to his list of achievements. Where does he rank in a lost of all time Dons and where do you think he will be when his time with us comes to an end?
On current form he may well end up behind Lewie.

It's hard to argue against him being our best ever - many will point to Alli, Twine, Chadwick, Baldock etc but long term consistency and performance counts for a lot.
