Read a few people saying he had a great game yesterday Have to say that surprises me. Not that he had a terrible game but he seemed to lose/not win the ball a lot...... He had 8 duals and lost all of them ( 2 aerial which I get)....in addition why doesn't he hit the ball first time more..... Seemed to be loads of times he cut in before trying pass to the edge of the box...... Is that deliberate? Feels like if he had just been more direct and whacked it first time we'd have more chances of goals like the Gilbey one? Also .....I sort of had in my head he is quick but I don't think he particularly is.....never saw him pull away once yesterday and this I've noticed in every game... He gets tracked / chased down easily 0% successful dribbles too yesterday For me he deserved second lowest Fotmob score of 7.2 .....surprised others saying he did so well! |

I'm surprised you think that. Like Scott Lindsay, I thought that was his best game for MKD yesterday, especially first half. Perhaps the issue is a perception one - when he joined it was said he's a wing back. Clearly he can't defend at all. But in an attacking, aggressive team (which we are hopefully becoming) he offers a lot. Swindon won't have enjoyed playing him, that's for sure. I agree he may not be the fastest thing on legs but he's quicker than most L2 defenders. And if he's already running when the ball is passed to him, he will usually skin his man. He seems to be a little slower from a standing start is all. |

I've been thinking about and his leg speed is quick but they are short so may not be covering as much ground as quickly it appears .......it may be that I missed it but didn't really see him skin anyone yesterday to be honest Is the cut inside instead if immediate cross thing a coaching instruction do you think? SL talks vaguely about something similar from corner play so wondered if he has been told not square it straight away when he has a break? |

I think he suffers, as all wingers do from over exposure, typically when he receives the ball expectation is that he will somehow beat the man in front of him (usually two as a team mate will always give support) and then play a precision ball to set up a chance. Now think about how often that happens even for the best players, once or twice a game? Compare that to a player in the Gilbey position he gets it and can just lay it back, or flick it on and no one bats an eyelid. Nemane is the most productive player for assists in League Two, he can't really do much better yet people can't see it and have unrealistic expectations. Moral of this story don't be a winger as they are always marmite players (especially Daniel Powell!) |

He created two chances, one of which was an assist, which isn't to be sniffed at. Defensively, he was always going to be suspect. |

Nemane is top L2 assister with six. That speaks for itself to be honest. We don’t always play to his strengths but he is a very good addition to the side. His cross for Gilbey was first-rate, a Sunday league player could have put that chance away. Been happy with him so far. |

Having has a rare weekend in the country that coincided with a home game I came along on Saturday for the first time in months. Nemane is certainly not particularly quick, I thought as much and now seeing him in the flesh it confirms that. He played pretty well on Saturday and the cross for Gilbeys goal was as good as you could ask for at any level. Clearly he cant defend for toffee but he worked very hard indeed up and down. Im not sure how many would have noticed but the full back on his side got subbed off as he was absolutely exhausted, he could hardly walk let alone run and I dont think Ive seen a player so relieved to be subbed for a long time. Stuff like that gets missed but is vitality important and if we hadnt sat where we did we would have missed it too. A solid 8 out of 10 for Nemane on Saturday and well done to him. |

I find it funny that both Nemane and Tomlinson's performances have been criticised (maybe that's a bit strong perhaps scrutinized might be a better way to describe it) more than most this season and yet both of them have pretty good numbers in terms of their goals and assists output compared to the rest of the league. I guess it shows how important the wingback positions are in our set up. When they play well we play well. I've been pretty pleased with the pair of them and I don't think I would swap them for anyone else in the league. |

I also think with the wing backs expected to play higher up, there is also going to be an expectation for them to take on their man more often, which is of course going to result in them losing the ball more as they'll not always succeed. I do think Nemane has been a lot better than Tomlinson offensively though. Not sure if he is carrying an injury or something but Tomlinson just seems to have lost a yard of pace compared to last season to me. |

Whilst I don't want to be reactionary to today's performance, what's everyone's views on him now? I think he's a bit of a one trick pony in all honesty. Without those balls that cut through behind, I am not really sure what else he brings to the table. |
