After Tomlinson's interview about players being scared to make mistakes, I feel Lawrence was a real victim of this.

I was very critical of his performances but I think its a shame we didn't get to see him under Warne. Despite our defence looking strong over the last 4 games, I'd love to have seen a Lawrence without the fear that Lindsey instilled into him. He'll highly likely be leaving Southampton in the summer and could be a good asset to someone (with the right manager).

Nooooo. He made mistakes period. Why do people want to bringback player after where we finished?

No, I don't want to bring him back, never said that. I just said I'd like to have seen how he played under Warne, as all players have cut mistakes out quite dramatically. A Nico Lawrence who doesn't make mistakes is a very good player.

I'm with you. After his debut I thought he had a swagger and positioning similar to Darling, then it all went down hill pretty quickly. As you say, don't bring him back, but it would have been interesting to see what he could have done with different management

It's clear that a young lad like him struggled with the physical demands after Christmas which coincided with our dreadful run going forward.

I have very little opinion one way or the other about his overall output but it's annoying that when it became evident he needed a rest, he wasn't dropped and we kept losing points and he kept making mistakes - at a time we brought Waller back and could've seen more game time.
Once Lindsey went, so did Lawrence pretty much. It was a good time for him to be dropped and have a rest and we never seemed to miss him
