This, completely. There was one point in the second half when we got a break with Theo on the ball down the right. But Parrott decided to run diagonally away from the goal rather than get into the middle - meaning Theo had no option in front of him.

He is so frustrating. Not sure it is the way he is being told to play (by us or Spurs) or just him not knowing instinctively how to be the focal point up front. It does remind me a lot of Kane, who frustrates the hell out of me for England too.

Its been mentioned a lot that he hit the ground running at the start of the season - but that was as part of a two-pronged attack if memory serves.

Both him and Eisa were very good at the start of the season as a part of a 2, but with Eisa's injury we moved to one up top and it just hasn't worked for either of them since. The thing is we can't now go back to a 2 without completely negating Corbeanu's place in the team.

Yeah you are right. We are missing the type of striker we need for the team set-up - and I am not suggesting that a) we should change the system and impede Theo or Twine etc, nor b) that Wickham is the answer! (What a lump!!!). Just look forward to Darling being our top scorer come May!

Its got to the point with Parrott where “covering ground” is now viewed as him playing well.

No one can deny he’s been poor for months. He done a couple of good things but to say he’s playing well based on that is an insult to him.

I’ve never seen a player give the ball away so often. His passing is absolutely shocking and throws away so many opportunities when we are in a good position.

I can’t even remember the last time he scored either. At least when Eisa was leading the line he got a goal here and there.

There is a good player in Parrott and we saw it at the start of the season. He also gets into reasonably good positions but then passes to the opposition.

I dont think we’ll see the Parrott we saw at the start of the season again here sadly. After poor loans at Millwall and Ipswich before us, I wonder what is next for him?
