So here's a little set of questions for y'all...

We have a very large squad, for this level. Given what you've seen in recent weeks, what would you say is:

1: our best starting 11
2: our best bench of 7
3: those we should keep for development or extra backup
4: those we should try to ship out if possible come January
5: and should we keep the squad at the same size, give or take, or reduce it overall?

^^^ LOL, of course. But, after that?

My go, for what it's worth:

11: McGill, Offord, Lawrence, Maguire, Nemane, White, Kelly, Tomlinson, Gilbey, Carroll, Hogan

Subs: MacGillivray, Lewington, Pritchard, Harrison, Wearne, Tripp, Williams

Keep/develop: Sandford, Stacey, Scholtz, Thompson-Sommers, Stirland, Wood, Anker, Lemonheigh-Evans, Hendry

Lose: (I know it's theoretical and we might not be able to move all these on but for the sake of the question...) Harness, Tucker, Ilunga, Leigh, Leko, Finch

Squad: Lose 6 and bring in 2: a Kasumu type and cover for Hogan.

I forgot Burns, Waller and Dennis. Add them to the let go list. 9 out, 2 in.

SHERRING as well missing.

I would keep him and shift MJW on.

I just don’t see how we could play White, Kelly and Carroll in the same line up and it still be our best 11. They are all brilliant CM’s but neither of them are that strong in the CAM role. CAM is supposed to be White’s natural position but I think we can all agree he is far better for us in CM.

Got to keep Waller surely? One of our biggest prospects

We have a very large squad, for this level. Given what you've seen in recent weeks, what would you say is:

1: our best starting 11

The team that played Tuesday, with the exception of Tomlinson LWB (although Pritchard played well as pushes him close) and possibly Lemonheigh-Evans (what has happened to him?) for Wearne.

2: our best bench of 7

The bench Tuesday, except Lemonheigh-Evans, Pritchard or Wearne for Tommy Leigh or Hendry. Willams or Sherring for Lewie

3: those we should keep for development or extra backup

Lunga and Tripp. Don't know enough about the others, but I assume loans could be arranged.

4. those we should try to ship out if possible come January

Tucker, Finch and possibly Leko.

5: and should we keep the squad at the same size, give or take, or reduce it overall?

Reduce

1: our best starting 11
McGill
Nemane Offord Lawrence Maguire Tomlinson
Kelly White
Wearne Hogan Gilbey

2: our best bench of 7
MacGillivray, Sherring, Pritchard, KTS, Carroll, Hendry, Harrison

3: those we should keep for development or extra backup
Any of the youngsters that can get loans, perfect. I'd like to see players like Ilunga or Tripp at a decent level playing regularly. For back up I'd keep MJ Williams and Lewington, as well as CLE and Leigh

4: those we should try to ship out if possible come January
Harness, Tucker and Finch should go. I'd like to see us offload Wearne too and bring in an improvement in that right sided 10 role (a loan to replace Finch perhaps)

5: and should we keep the squad at the same size, give or take, or reduce it overall?
We need to reduce the squad for sure, but I can see us needing to replace McGill and perhaps White too after loan recalls.

1: our best starting 11

McGill, Tomlinson/Pritchard*, Maguire, Lawrence, Offord, Nemane, White, Kelly, Lemonade, Gilbey, Hogan

(*It's Tomlinsons position to lose, but I hear Pritchard impressed on Tuesday.)

2: our best bench of 7

MacG, Sherring, Tomlinson/Pritchard, KTS, Harrison, Carroll, Hendry

3: those we should keep for development or extra backup

Everyone else except...

4: those we should try to ship out if possible come January

MJ Williams, Burns, Dennis and Harness if any offer comes in. Finch will be recalled. Wearne if a decent offer comes in from Carlisle, maybe Ilunga too?

5: and should we keep the squad at the same size, give or take, or reduce it overall?

I don't think we need to do much in January but should always be looking if someone can come in and improve that 11. Losing Finch may mean we look to replace with another loan striker. But I don't think we should add numbers, nor do I see any urgent need to reduce numbers or release youngsters etc.
