We are sleep walking into a relegation battle, again.

Total and utter dross, was it really worse under Neilson? Certainly isn’t any better but I suppose he’s cheap and that’s all that matters.

Yes my thoughts too.

What you have to acknowledge though is that Neilson had the players at his disposal largely.

Bar Osman Sow’s general injury circumstance. He also had Chuks.

We now have a single figure goals a season striker and a very raw boy.

Yup. Moi aussi :(
The highlight of my afternoon was joining in with the 'shot on target do do doo-eh' chant. (And I only got to do that once.) :ugeek:

Yes but how many people on here were saying he needs to sign a decent loan player? I’ll add to that, Bowery, his signing
Mason, his signing,
Boateng, his signing
And the list goes on, you can only give him so much grace before you look at his team selection, tactics and everything else, out of his depth imo.

I’m loathed to slate him when you look at the number of quality players out.

That said, the back slapping a month ago of no loan signings, now looks completely ridiculous. It’s going to be a slog, my only hope is we have enough to pull away when the cavalry return.

Unless we get relegated, Winkelman wont sack him this season so id say weve got 18 months of this before he acts

Th excuse will be injuries, because MK have more than everyone else, apparently.

What do you mean by the ‘apparently’ in your last sentence?

got the stats to prove it ?
if you have the proof, sack the training staff (and whilst at it, the manager too)

https://injuriesandsuspensions.com/tag/league-one/

Most teams have 2/3. We have 5 plus now Nombe so 6.

I'm not sure why the injuries are down to the training staff.

We've always been prone to injuries, but nothing on this scale.

Injuries have just highlighted the problem even more, but even with a fully fit squad, did we really recruit well enough?

Rhys Healey, fine. But Agard clearly isn't up to being a top striker at this level any more. The rest of them - Bowery, Nombe, Asonganyi, Bird aren't at the level we need yet. Mason doesn't inspire me to think he's the answer based on his stats, few appearances in recent years and pre-season.

It's pretty obvious to me that we didn't recruit enough quality in the right areas. We didn't get anyone to replace Chuks who was a big part of last season and one of our better players the last time we were in L1.
