I didn't see the game yesterday but I'm going off peoples' comments that players are doing really well that many thought were rubbish before, and Lewi clearly is capable of playing, even though he was sidelined for most of the season. Serious question - what went on and why under Lindsay ?! (FWIW I think Wliiliamson was just poor and inexperienced, but I really don't get what happened with Lindsay). |

I'm not going to put a dampener on it, bit I'm going to. ![]() We have only scored 1 goal in three games, while the defensive improvement has been since McGillivrary has start. Also Lemonleigh-Evans had been good in central midfield. I can't understamd why Lindsey didn't like him there. Saying that I feel Warne has made it simple for the players and they gave stopped faffing around the back. He has also said we do need to bring in players with pace, which is key to next season. I don't know where Crowley will fit it, but if he does a similar role to Kelly, hopefully he will start being the player we eamted him to be. |

From what I’ve been told, Lindsay lost the dressing room. Allegedly …….more than one or two got singled out and were held responsible for the decline, this caused a ripple effect around the team and even those not targeted resented the treatment of their fellow players and appeared to be just going through the motions (many have said similar)…..I stress this is what I was told happened, it came from a decent source who has been fairly accurate with info in the past…..but in case my solicitor is watching……this is what allegedly happened. |

I heard it's not only players he was nasty to. A good example is the edited post match interview with Toby Lock, which was strange and slightly disturbing. |

The actual exit also happened quickly, and of course it was just him not the coaching team. That would suggest something along the lines of what WellDon describes. Had a bit of an HR/we don't behave this way feel to it. |

I'm assuming Kelly was one of the players who was suffering under him as he has looked a completely different player last couple of games |

Welldon is 100 percent correct. Lindsey also couldnt stand lewie which obviously didnt go down well with the dressing room. The guy had a bruised ego (lindsey) and lewies strong holding in the club and dressing room was a case of the same scenario as robbie nielsen. If anyone remembers lewie told fobbie nielsen his football was dhit, rightly, im sure you can imagine lewie protecting the players against lindseys treatment. |

I very rarely post anything like this because I prefer to play the fool - yes Ali we know....- rather than appear as someone 'in the know' (As I believe WellDon to be) but........I also heard from what I believe to be a credible source that Lewie was sidelined 'a la Neilson' and it had the plausible reason for his being absent that he was 'doing his badges' (which he was). "He was told he had no role to play whatsoever" (or similar) was what I was told. This is of course hearsay. Nads to his detractor(s). Yesterday will remain in my mind (and The Junior Ramones') for a very long time. A big (sweary) chap who sits near me was actually close to tears when Lewie went down the tunnel after the lap round the stadium. "The club will never be the same" he kept repeating. Yup. |

So was he an 'it's my way or the highway kind of manager' ? If it's an ego thing, why didn't he use Lewi more as a sub to keep the squad on board, knowing that Lewi would be finishing in May anyway ? Was he that egotistical then, and just didn't know how to deal with under performing players ? |
