I remember being at the very first Player of the Season event held at Wilton Hall.

A very embarrassed looking Wayne Gray stepped up to collect his "Golden Boot" for being the highest goal scorer that season (still at the club).

He'd scored an impressive FOUR goals that season.

An ironic chorus of "Wayne Gray for England" erupted.
