If that's true, then fine - just why it's taken so long to ask/be updated on it is why we've been questioning his absence

Because toby lock is one of the biggest sock puppets in the journalism world, the bloke has a LOT of spelling errors in every single article he posts and the website is full of ads upon ads upon ads making it impossible to read anything and still somehow is our #1 reporter, he'd rather shit in his hands and clap if the club told him to than ask a trivial question that the club won't like

No because Toby probably kept saying to his editor do you want me to run a piece on Lewington as there maybe a story in why he is left out and they replied nope just your normal articles on the games are fine we don't have space for it etc.

so the pre-match questions are all live-time vetoed and vetted is what youre suggesting, despite this article being made from the prematch interview? i mean they do that media piece for the club's socials and the only time any hard hitting questions were asked was that one week the guy from BBC 3CR did the interview, toby lock is just a puppet for the club and has been for years

I believe the club has a veto on what goes out, for example we know signings have been in the building when pre match stuff is done and nothing is mentioned and footage edited not to show them. I believe the journalist can write an article on anything that is discussed (unless specifically told it is off the record) and this can be released before the pre match press conference as it is most weeks, obviously the manager and player don't have to answer questions. I very much suspect the club press person has a discussion with the journalist before over what is to be asked and what will and won't be answered.

btw the 3CR guy done this interview today too, just strange that he seems to get to ask the questions that are hard-arse, and tobys are always just "how are you did you go to the shops today" level of plodding along

I was at the stadium Tuesday morning and Lewie got in a car with Tomlinson when all the players left the stadium for training, so he was still around a couple days ago

About time we got some answers here because we are missing his presence and leadership badly, is he injured? Is he exiled? Is he in young dons zone? It’s becoming embarrassing.

Told ya.

The Citizen says he was there on Saturday. I didn't see him (eyes aint what they were) but others were asking. There is a pic of him.
Of course it's too much to draw any significant conclusions but I reckon it was a contributory factor to the way the team played; he probably had some words to add to BG's.

The citizen implies that he hasn't been around recently, but people were saying they saw him at games. He was also included in training pics before Lindsey left too.

Something clearly went on, but don't think he was banished under Lindsey.

Lewington was defo there yesterday and sat behind the dug out, and at one point in front of it, with Nathan Thompson. The latter is always there on match day and I bet is also involved in leading the team currently.

The relationship between Lewington and the club is not good, I don’t know if that will change now Lindsey is gone, but that is the truth.

When the time comes for him to hang up his boots, which sounds like it isn't too far away, the club fully celebrates his time here in the same way it would if Pete were still here.

Something like...

- A pre-season testimonial match to celebrate his service to one club but also to acknowledge being the EFL record holder for most games for a single club.
- An 'Evening With...' type event, or a large portion of the end of season awards where Luke Ashmead (maybe) sits down with Dean and talks to him about his career (clips on the big screen)
- Some kind of permanent dedication. Not sure I'm keen on a statue, I'm leaning towards one of the stands being named in his honour.

Why aren't you keen on a statue?
