The badge is unimportant in the scheme of things. The Sun article was just silly.

Not too bothered about the change of design.
However I am suspicious of the main reason being to get Milton Keynes Dons on the badge instead of just MK Dons.
I suspect that's the first step - made quickly - in the new owners long term plans to drop the Dons part of the name and try to move the club away from that side of our history / origin.
They know they can't do it so quickly and in one go, but I imagine they think doing it in stages will probably be possible here.

Doubt it but if true, I hope they realise that any attempt to grow the fanbase will quickly fall back when they alienate many by a decision like that.

If you were going to change the name, you'd need to remove the Dons part from the badge and therefore redo all of the rebranding. It ain't happening any time soon.

You’re still not addressing my point. Why is Wycombe’s ‘Wanderers’ more relevant than our ‘Dons’?
