So... this thread is ended now, yes? I can stop face-palming now?

The attendance is based on the total amount of tickets sold including season tickets. All clubs do the same.
It also includes any tickets bought in advance of the game whether they turn up or not and on the day sales up to half time. That's for home and away sales.
So the 15k+ is accurate, and we did sell the additional tickets.
The actual physical attendance is calculated after the half time whistle. It averages 15% non-attendance for all areas of I recall correctly but ours is slightly skewed by the U12s not attending although I imagine there were a lot more for a game like yesterday in attendance than a Tuesday night against Cheltenham for instance.
There's no tax dodging going on
I'm not even sure how that could be done when all sales are in the till by half time and there for all to see and subject to the usual audits.

Is 15% non attendance usual for the away end too?

Yes, but can be increased by things like weather, distance to travel, tyre blow outs, fender benders, missed coaches/trains/pick ups and any number of other things that could prevent someone getting to an away game.
Basically, things that can go wrong for an away trip and invariably do and statistically increase the larger the amount of away fans buying tickets is overall.

I take it as a positive if, after a home game against a "huge" club like Ipswich, this is the only thing Filthier has found to be negative about.

For the record, I have one adult ST for me, one U18 ST and then three free U12 ones. Two of those rarely get used - but I want my youngest to have them and to easily come to games when they do (no queueing for extra tickets etc). Plus I'll use them all for the play offs!

If that is somehow bad or embarrasing for you, sorry. I and the 49 other people in the family corner (!!) apologise.

Next season - I'll probably do the same even if the U12s stop being free. Although I do personally think thats a wrong move by the club at this stage of our evolution.

One other factor Filthy hasn’t considered is the 15 or so disability seats + carer on the concourse behind each block Those always seem as though they’re packed, especially from East Premium round to the Family Corner. That’s probably a good 200>300 on each matchday.
