Yesterday was very painful to watch. They say it’s the hope that kills you and certainly yesterday, seeing half the team and the manager that ripped us apart 8 months ago look like clowns in MK Dons kits was a new low.

Yesterday really brought home that we have changed identity as a club. People no longer talk about the type of football we play , or the young talent we have that other clubs covet. They aren’t interested in hiring our manager . They no longer look at us as a league 1 club temporarily marooned in league 2. Now, we are just an ordinarily league 2 team with nothing else going for us. It is remarkable how we have got here in only 2 and a half years ish.

We are where we are. The rest of this season is a write off. Thankfully Carlisle , tranmere and morcambe will keep us up this season due to their wretchedness but we have absolutely no chance of play offs. I would encourage Scott Lindsay to relax, tell his players to also do so , and ask them to play with the freedom and fun that comes with no pressure of going up or down. I will do so as a fan , as yesterday I got too wound up over an irrelevant game between two mid table teams going nowhere.

The club has gone all in on Scott Lindsey. We have no identity left at all outside of him anymore, it is all built around the wishes and personality of one man. We can’t change now unfortunately. I am completely resigned to that and , again, have just tweaked my emotions to accept it and get on with it .

Lindsey was a very popular appointment. He arrived in September. I don't think a manager/head-coach can be judged until he's had couple of transfer windows. I'm surprised and disappointed that results (and apparently performances) have been so poor. But I think Scott Lindsey is the right man to take MK Dons on an enjoyable and successful journey over the next few years. As he said when he was appointed he wants to grow with this club.

He's made me go from loving the club but barely caring about the individuals in the squad to pure apathy .

I liked the idea of him, I actually thought he was out of reach at the time and a coup

I have no idea what he wants to build here, I have no clue what his tactics are, I have no idea when a result will come, I liked the idea of him being a leader not just a young coach but if anything I feel we are less aggressive and exciting than under MW (and that is hard!).

I've long been a backer of individuals who drop out of form - I still love Woz. I never really wanted Robbo to go. I still defend Russ. Fuck I would probably even try to defend the signings of Wickham and Tucker. But I couldn't give a single shit if Lindsey or any of the playing staff leave tomorrow

It's very simple, we just need to find a way of playing to the players strengths and passing out slowly from the back kidding ourselves that we're some sort Poundshop league 2 Barcelona is clearly not the way to do it. We don't have the skill in any position to pull that off and neither should we at our level.

Not saying I want this but there is one very obvious name out of work at the minute. Promoted from league 2 before and previously worked with our CEO…

Do you mean Sean Dyce? I do know that he hasn't had a L2 promotion but they've worked together several times and he is local.

I don’t.

Fwiw I’m of the opinion we need stability even if it means riding out a terrible second half to this season.

I think I need a break. I have serious shit going on health wise, both with me and my wife. I’ll still come to the football but I reckon I need to give less of a shit, just to stay sane. The football isn’t a distraction any more but it’s nice to spend time with friends.

By the way, if I was Lindsay I’d give Gilbey a break (great player but knackered), I’d stick with Hogan but I’d punch every “attacking” midfielder in their face and I’d redeploy KTS as a groundsman.

Goodbye for a while folks; I’ll no doubt be back at some point.

I don't come on here anywhere near as much, and rarely post, so I've only just seen this.

Very sorry to hear all that, Keyser - you've been my favourite poster on here since I started (as Bertie). Hope everything gets better with yourself and your wife, and that you feel up to posting on here again at some point. The place is always worse for it when you take any of your breaks.
