I wonder if a new CEO along with new owners means we may have a different approach to transfer business. We've always been somewhat of a stepping stone in that we will famously "never stand in a player's way" if they want to leave to bigger and better things, which I sort of get as it means we wouldn't have Twine sign for us in the first place. I wonder if we'll perhaps become a bit more ruthless in transfer activity and start behaving in a similar way to Posh for example.

I thought we operate in a similar way to Posh, albeit at times less successfully, have they refused to let players go before? I get the impression they are happy to sell once their valuation is met, same as us.

Posh have had the capacity to hold onto their players for their contract length, generally.. usually once they hit their final year they're immediately transfer listed as is written as a part of their contract

At the recent Fans Forum Liam Sweeting said that things would change in respect of being able to hang on to players we want to keep. I think we saw evidence of that yesterday with the new deals for Gilbey and Tomlinson. Those deals would have rumbled on for a while yet under Pete. Of course, there’s still going to be instances where “we can’t stand in their way”, but length of contract and wages paid will mean we’re only losing them to clubs a lot higher up the food chain, not, as the MK1 podcast pointed out, to clubs that are our equal.

This guy's arrival has just become 10 times more critical.

I hope we get this or any CEO on board immediately. The tweets mean the representative has to go this minute and we need a steady hand to guide the club through this moment and the immediate future with some significant haste.

This assumes he or anyone else wants to jump into this looming shitstorm!

Be interesting to see how the club play it. Announcing a new CEO the same day as Moath steps down makes it look intentional. I hope they acknowledge the reason why Moath has to go and don't gloss over it.

I'm not sure how close Hart is to joining us, but Moath has to go today.

Bolton announced yesterday that he had left the club to pursue another opportunity in football so unless there’s been a major change of heart I’d imagine he’ll be announced soon
