Just let it go FFS....
(We can resurrect it next season when we are in the exact same position with 3 games to go ;) )

No more points. We are safe. 11 games to go and 13 points clear and with vastly superior goal difference to all teams below us, some of whom still have to play *each other*, and most of whom have played a game more than us.

I’d be surprised if any of the bottom two ended up with more than 42 points.

Morecambe finished 24th with 35 points.
Carlisle were relegated in 23rd, with 42 points. 8-)

So just to show how safe we were the line was drawn at 42 points with a better than -27 goal difference needed to be safe, we achieved that on 8th March when we beaten Morecombe 2-1 leaving us with 42 points and a -7 goal difference!
I don't know what you were all so worried about and congratulations to Ben Gladwin who managed us that day and Danilo Orsi who scored the goal that made us safe!

Not sure why this is still going, but as above....
if we hadn't won at Crewe (thanks Filip!) and Carlisle had won...
I would not have fancied our chances to avoid a final day defeat at Swindon

In fairness the new manager did help. I do think we’d have still got the results required, although I know before the appointment it was quite sketchy for us.

I've just visited a parallel universe and we went down. :(
