Wasn't a thriller was it. Also, it's the 7k being in the away end and us apparently having 1500 more fans than them yesterday in attendance that has provoked it from me.

Filthier I don't see what you are getting at. If people bought a ticket, abeit a season ticket ticket, they should be counted. I'm not naming names but clubs who only allow fans to purchase tickets on the day by cash are the dodgy ones.

They should be counted for "we sold [x] amount of season tickets at the start of the season" purposes, but not for week in, week out "how many people are really turning up" figures. Why are so many not turning up each week when they possess season tickets?

We should do the same as othet clubs and include those to have paid to watch the match. Fans may be misssing due to covid, gone ti uni or a number if reasons. It's the same for all clubs.

I enjoyed it. It must have been one for the football purists. :D

Isn’t that what we do?

I really don’t get why anyone sees this as an issue.

I think we should only include those that actually scan their card/ticket.

It's probably just more noticeable for us because the crowd is spread thinly in the first place so all the absences exaggerate that even more.

I don't think you can blame "gone to uni" - the uni year pretty much matches the entire football season

Hopefully crowds will start returning to normal soon if a lot of it is COVID absences - either isolating or fear.

Disagree on point 1 and agree I hope the Covid issues get resolved. However, I still think you underestimate our fans and are making a mountain out of a molehill.

I don't think I've mentioned it before, I just thought it was so obvious yesterday considering Ipswich's numbers compared to our own reported numbers that it was worth bringing up.

In respect of point 1 I guess if all the clubs did it then that's OK. To mix metaphors you are tilting at windmills. Our normal home attendance is 5k+ so gettng more due to the interest and the missing STHs seems realistic to me.

The “non- attendance” will drop significantly next season when they will push the season ticket prices back up to normal and restrict the U12 free tickets to the family blocks .
I don’t know if that’s a good thing or not.
Hopefully we will have been promoted though

I don't see why it's not common practice. For home areas, 99% of EFL clubs have digital scanners so they know how many people have entered with a season ticket card or match ticket. Simple.
