While G Williams was being described as Warnes type of player, I can’t help but feel that Crowley is the complete opposite, so I wonder where that leaves him.

If Warne prefers a far more direct approach, then I can’t see him standing for Crowley’s ponderousness on the ball.

Been thinking about this as well. It will all depend on Crowley's effort levels in training and on the pitch. I think quite a few of the squad will be facing the axe this summer. I just can't see a place for Liam Kelly in particular.

It will be interesting to see how some of the less favoured players react. Sherring might do well under Warne and I think Warne might love the chaos of Leko.

I dont see why Crowley is not his kind of player. None of us have watched his style thoroughly enough to know yet how he does or doesn't fit in

Oh I know. I fully expect that Crowley will be gone if we can find someone to pay his wages. I don’t think Warne will want him around.

So he's staying.

That’ll be the issue. It hasn’t worked. But I’m not sure who would be willing to take on his wages which are big. So we’re going to be left with a big old drain on the wage bill.

A lot of these 'will we get rid' questions will boil down to can we entice a club to pay for them. I don't see a widespread write off going on and a lot of these players will still be under contract.

That’ll be what will make next season hard imo

Listening to Paul Warne there is a place for everyone who works hard and is a good character, I don't think perception of their style is as important as people are making out. It is also worth noting players look very different in different styles for example with the game sped up and being more attacking in general a player previously seen as ponderous in possession maybe transformed into dynamic as the options go from players tood to the side and back of them to runners and targets ahead.

That's how it 'read' his interview. Good point made above about styles. We'll just have to see with Crowley. IMHO he could turn out to justify his wages.
Kelly on the other hand has, being charitable, "not fitted in" at all.
A lot of 'the others in between', well I'll stick my head over the parapet here, have not been good (to say the least) but how much that is due to the months of desperation and gloom that has infected them individually and collectively or whether they truly are useless.... who knows?
I guess that is what PW now has to determine.
