Seems like we could end up like the second playoff leg. When all the players new they would not be here the next season and so didn’t bother. Or the games after Ince 2 left and we played the yougsters because the established players had lost interest. The rest of this season will be fun if thats the case.

Just watched his interview and he comes across pretty well. This whole thing is giving me a similar vibe to when Russell Martin took over. The football's been absolutely horrible and the expectation is as low as can be. Ex-player taking over in his first job and is going to focus on getting the players playing with a bit more freedom. I'm more hopeful than I was yesterday. And if it's a disaster, it's not the end of the world, we'll make a permanent decision in the summer.

I was more of keep SL guy but I'm coming round to this way of thinking now

It doesn't matter what happens in results (within reason) but at least we might see some shots on goal this week

Oh, for the record, I would've kept Lindsey too. But we are where we are, and the more I think about it, the more I can see this working.

Because we have a game tomorrow and by immediate replacement I mean within two weeks. Someone has to coach these idiots. They will probably be all gone when the new manager is announced, but getting rid of them all is beyond dense when there is zero succession plan.

That's undoubtedly my favourite quote on here from the last few weeks!

We weren't getting play offs and others have assured me we aren't getting relegated, so was this not the perfect opportunity to give a manager time to fix the deep rooted issues? It is unlikely we'll get an opportunity like this again.

This isn't entirely serious, but is one way to look at it.

Manning came into a Russ squad without any preseason and did very well, next year had a whole preseason, brought in some of his players over the time and we got worse. Williamson came into Alexanders squad, we went on a great run. He had a whole preseason and brought in his own players, we got worse. Lindsey comes in, has a great run of form. Essentially fades out a load of players, brings in lots of new signings and we then get worse.

"Local Man Sounds Vibrant".

I'm still pessimistic until I see something that gives me optimism. We've just had 5/6 months of upbeat character in the dugout. Bloke we've asked to hold the keys hasn't got a clue yet because he's inexperienced so gaining optimism because he sounds excited (Why wouldn't he be?) doesn't exactly fill me with confidence in itself. I dont know what ton expect from him.

Came across very well in that interview, speaks eloquently, reminded me a bit of Russ Martin's confidence. We'll see how we get on, he's got no pressure at all really has he, as long as we don't end up relegated of course.

Feels a bit like the 2019/20 season. I just want something to believe in again. The form that year under Russ was inconsistent but I believe again. Hopefully Gladwin can produce something similar if not better
