I suspect it’s the supporters who are the shambles; the club probably knows exactly what it wants to do.

This is one I could actually see happening, however depending on his contact length and whatever promotion based bonuses may be in there he also may be happy to earn the pay cheque at Wrexham for another year or so.

30, great age and needs to kick start his career at the top endnof a division again. I think it's not unrealistic, but like you said I wonder if we can/will match his wages and whether he'd want to end his time early or not.

I do wonder if he has a bit of Ryan Lowe about him and will prefer to stay in that part of the world. He tried to claim that was a big part of his move to Wrexham, but the wages and longer term contract were probably more of the reason. He's one of a handful of players I'd say are proven goalscorers that are a realistic target for a L1 or ambitious L2 club

Wouldn't he be a bit Will Grigg v2.0 though? Good the last few years, but not with us ?

Will Grigg wasn't even good the last few years before he joined us.

Possibly. But if you're gonna get good wages and a 2/3 year deal a bit further away then it's a decision to make enit. He's moved to Swindon, then back up Norf then Cambridge and back again.

As Alby has since eluded too, not quite sure what the similarity is other than age. Grigg joined us after essentially isolation for 3.5 years disappointing in L1 at Sunderland with two loan spells. He had scored 15 goals in 3.5 years, 4 of those coming in one game for us. Mullin has been a regular in this division and one below until a slight injury and some outrageous recruitment leading to his absence, but has scored 83 league goals in 3.5 years.
