We could do a lot worse and he has taken his chance in the last few weeks.

Brought in during Alexander’s reign, and Warne’s style is certainly more aligned with him. Was impressive against Crewe, as Warne says he’s very commanding and likes to come for the ball when a cross or set piece comes in.

I wouldn’t be against him being number one next season.

Think this definitely means Trueman’s contract won’t be renewed though.

Truman would be good back up if he is willing to play second fiddle.

This showcases the failing in our recent flipflopping of style when it comes to managers and the need for some consistency. We've had a very capable player sitting on the bench for nearly 2 years who up until Warne's arrival was probably looking forward to leaving. I completely understood why he wasn't favoured by both MW and Lindsey and therefore not used, but its very poor resource management on the recruitment end. The problem is we now have a team built for that possession based style that will need overhauled yet again.

Makes me wonder how many players we've not seen the best of in recent times due to the constant flux. I never really rated Tommy Leigh for example but I would bet you he would be well suited to what Paul Warne wants form his attackers.

Even though I already know I won't love the football under Warne at times I hope we stick with him and have some consistency.

Brilliant again yesterday. Think he caught pretty much every single set piece into our box.

3 clean sheets in a row. He suits Warne’s style and I really, really hope he is our number 1 next season.

Agreed. He's a very good keeper for this level. The defence was very good yesterday and a lot of that comes from the reliability of a consistent goalkeeper behind the centre halves. He did catch everything that came his way including a couple of difficult takes.

Who would have thought 6 weeks ago that both he and Leko would be shoe in's for contract offers

He did indeed.
Also good positioning. Very smart top in the first half from a shot which he saved at his left post. Smack, bang into his chest because of where he was. And to anyone who might say 'that's like a minimum requirement for a 'keeper. I simply mention the name Filip Marschall.
AND he knows how to waste time.

I have been one of Macca's biggest fans since he came in, even when he was getting dogs abuse on here at the start of last season

The ONLY gripe I have with him was he said he knew he was joining us in the March before he did, why did he just not let one in against us in that burton game

Leko? No thanks. He's looked more like a National League player in recent weeks.

Give over. He has just come back from 1 year out ffs. He has got to metaphorically learn to walk again. I mean lets call it how it is we have looked like a National League side for most of the season.
