Our squad was tipped by every pundit and anyone else with two pennies to throw in,to be the best squad in the league. We're they all deluded too? Or, have they not been coached, trained and deployed effectively?
And the only ones I would keep at the moment is white orsi, Crowley, williams (only because they have only been here for 3 weeks) and Maguire. Thompson-Sommers has shown glimpses and Nemane possibly but he has been poor for months. Hogan gets a pass for me because he gets no passes from anyone else. I am torn on Gilbey. Without his goals we would be down but 1 goal and 1 assist in 15 games aince his brace in December is not doing his cause any good but the rest can fuck right off imo.
Paper is a good thing. You can write anything on it. Doesn't make it fact. They have to bare a big portion of the blame. Defensive injuries are not helping and Williams suspension is a kick in the balls. Yes but this squad as others have said is the worst we have seen in the 20 years of being in MK.
I will say this, this is the first time I have questioned Lindsey. 3 at the back doesn't work. Why play 4 last week and then revert to type being sloppy at the back from what I gleen from what people have said today. We play walking football most weeks. That is not down to the manager as I doubt he trains them to do that.
Don't forget Williamson left. He wasn't sacked. He was a canny man and knew when to jump ship. We had to hire a new coach. Maybe Lindsey is a fraud and he is using a fluke season last season to up his worth but a lot of the players are doing the same including the ones that left in January.
Of course the players have to take some of the blame but part of a managers job description is motivating and getting the best out of the players he has. SL isn't doing that by a long shot. Which means he isn't doing his job.
I missed out Williams. We definitely missed him today but his place in the side hasn't really effected results. Our run has been garbage with him in the team as well as without.
