If he doesn't drop both of those players after today, I am reluctantly moving to the "Lindsay Out" school of thought. If he is as good as he says he is, he cannot allow our two worst performers to continue with impunity.

Despite Gilbey's recent lacklustre performances isn't he our highest scorer and therefore most likely to find the back of the net?

The player I watched today for 98 inexplicable minutes - and countless more times this season - was nowhere near scoring. He has fallen so far off the pace it's damaging the team in my opinion.

I think that you're right but he's kind of a victim of his own success by personally setting the bar so high with is first half of the season performances. At the moment he's not as good as back then but he's not really any worse than the rest of them and at least he does have goals in his locker.

I actually felt like we weren't terrible - I thought we were terrible at the final third which is what's letting us down massively. Countless openings where we did the wrong thing. Didn't shoot. Slowed down and went back. Wrong pass. Overhit ball etc etc. I mean, I'm not sitting here saying it was a great performance but I thought we were better than we were against Harrogate and showed some decent forward momentum at times, just flip as soon as he need to flap.

I can't recall when we were last good in the final third season wise. What gets me is so much of the spineless football that we now play, epitomised by Lemonheigh-Evans taking a throw near their corner flag back to our defence and it ending up back with our keeper.

Objectively, he was the second worst of our attacking players today - behind Hogan who I am not sure anyone could possibly play with less effort. Gilbey messed up time and time again, the goal came from him getting the ball stuck under his feet. I honestly cannot remember a single thing he did right.

The more I think about it, the more I’m coming to think that if this ladybits not sacked by tomorrow morning, then it’s obvious that the new owners quite clearly couldn’t care less about the football side of the total pup they’ve bought. Once again, we’ve been massively conned. But looking on the bright side, you can buy a curry on the concourse.

How long does that credit last for? He is Captain of a sinking ship and he needs to show more on the pitch

Our starting 11 today has had plenty of coaching time with SL
Is his message that difficult for them to execute

I wonder if there is a lost dressing room vibe going on what with Lewie in exile, etc.

Surely there have been too many new players that have no connections with Lewie for that to be a problem?

But a poisonous core - which has now secured failure after failure under successive managers - can quickly infect any new faces. When your captain and 1st choice striker simply cannot be bothered, that surely begins to rub off.

It's a head scratcher. The many sinple passes, to me, aren't a coaching thing, it's simply crap communication and execution. But me asking for wonders for simple passes to be completed is an even bigger head scratcher
