So you don't believe in the possibility of Mk Dons Premiership football in your lifetime ?

Assuming we've hit rock bottom this season, the only way is up.

Positive Mental Attitude - that's what Mr Warne and team are about.

I believe in one step at a time, to mention MKDons and the Premier League in the same breath is a joke where the club is at the moment.

I'm talking 2037...

We'll be like Swindon if we don't start thinking positively.

Don't be ridiculous do you think Luton were planning for the Premier League when they were non-league? No reasonable business has a plan over more than 3-5 years as there are too many variables. Whose to say the Premier League will exist in 12 years, could be a World League a Super League etc

If we got Premier League football, we aren't selling 30,000 seats every week.

Nathan Jones took over at Luton when they were about 18th in league two. He recruited smartly and has a plan of how he wanted to play. , a lot of that squad took them through the leagues and ultimately the Prem

so it is possible no matter how unlikely it seems.

It was a wonderful achievement, but what he said was true. They didn't plan for where they got to.

to a certain extent. I think it's reasonable to assume you could build a side to get out of this league and compete in league one in one go. Championship is then another level up really.

You are right, and the unlikely part is very important. There's probably been about 50 odd teams and a hundred or managers in League Two since then who have not reached the Premier League, and x amount more prior between them and Bournemouth doing it.

Russell Martin took over us in when were about 18th in League One. He recruited smartly and had plan of how he wanted to play, a lot of that squad departed quickly and ultimately led us to the bottom end of L2

So, let's just all give up and settle for L2 and L1?

Pete Winkelman had the vision but struggled for money to sustain the next step up.
The new owners have the money. Let's support the vision to get up the leagues.

I look at Venky's who bought Blackburn Rovers years ago - in comparison, there is no reason why can't do better as a club. Ok, 2037 might be ambitious for PL football, but why the feck not.

Why does it have to be one end or the other end of the spectrum?

We're in League Tep. Have struggled to win games in League Two. Arguably lucky to survive in League Two and now we're mathematically safe we're discussing expanding the stadium, when we have barely 6.5k in a 30k stadium and talk of the Premier League?

Can't we just discuss aiming for promotion?

Just reading about this, I was told that when the current top tier went on in MK, the structure was designed to go up to a maximum 53,000 capacity.

We have to dream big from now on, so what do you reckon to this timeline for us:-
May 27 - promoted to League 1
May 29 - promoted to the Championship
May 34 - promoted to the Premier League
May 35 - relegated to the Championship
May 37 - promoted to the Premier League
May 42 - Champions League qualification
May 45 - New capacity 53,000

Not bad. I reckon 20 years ...

Fair enough, I used to have dreams like this.

Then I started secondary school.
