We apparently did way more business in January, meaning we didn’t have to do much in the Summer.

Well that has completely changed then hasn’t it. Yet again, a new manager comes in with a load of new players signed less then 4 months ago on 2.5yr contracts.

So many of this team were signed off the back one 1 good season. So many in this squad are bang average lower end league 2 footballers and once again, we’re stuck with them and our new manager has to somehow manager the situation.

This is the biggest mess the club has ever been in. Significantly bigger mess than when we got relegated to League 2 under Jackson.

No manager can be successful here. No manager can manage a massive squad full of players that are not suitable.

To take this job, you must have to be unbelievably desperate.

We only signed (as opposed to loaning) three in January - right? And I very much doubt Trueman and Williams are on 30 month deals. Sanders maybe. But we also cleared out a lot of the crap, and got fees for a few too.

5 permanent signings in January. Trueman, Thompson, Sanders, Crowley, and Williams. 3 loan signings (Patterson, O'Reilly and Orsi).

5 permanent signings in January is a lot, especially given the size of the squad.

Trueman’s contract is only until the end of the season, he mentioned it in a presser

I think that we're three decent players away from having a good side. Two decent wide players that can get past players and can actually cross and pass and a regularly scoring forward.

We absolutely cant make the same mistakes we did last summer. 3-4 incomings max. Players need the time to gel.

i'm not inclined to defend sweeting but that list doesn't seem that bad.

orsi
macgillivray
harness
tucker
harrison
lewington

pretty sure all of these aren't under contract for next season. hogan may also have been a one-year deal at his age (you'd hope so). either way that leaves him, sherring, kelly and kts. don't think it will be impossible to find takers for them.

I think there's a real good defender in Sherring. I'd like to see him given another chance.

I'd like to see Orsi back - he seems like an absolute bastard and over the course of a season I think he'd be a benefit in difficult moments.

Feel pretty much the same, although I would put Hogan in the leave list, he’ll probably be out of contract anyway
