I’d just like to thank welldon for running the excellent APL over many seasons, it’s been a great and ever popular thread, the effort that went into this for every league fixture is a labour of love.

So, thank you it’s been brilliant and will be missed, but fully understand your decision.

Well done Well Don. I couldn't have done it over all those years.

Yes, thanks Welldon, has been good fun for us, but can’t imagine the work that went in to it from your end.

To be honest, I had a lot of help from my PC, but you’re right it was a labour of love, but I have enjoyed it, and I got very organised at it after about 4 years.
My feeling is that it’s had its day, it always starts off with about 60 punters, and within a month that’s down to less than 40 which I’ve never understood, as we all know any league is not won in November.
I’m very busy hosting DONS UNPLUGGED every week, and I still write a weekly preview on FB
Anyway thanks for the comments.

I sometimes simply forget to post  otherwise I'd have ran away with it for years.

Cheers for the effort though Colin

Yes, thanks for all the hard work you've put in to it over the years, WellDon.

I enjoyed the three or four years that I took part in it as Bertie - and can vouch for how much hard work it takes, having run one of my own for a few years on here!

I only stopped taking part because of the amount of breaks I started taking from posting on the site, which meant that I regularly missed too many games to make it worthwhile.

I usually last a week or two

But yes thanks WellDon for all the work on this over the years!
