Since we're all angry, fed up, bored, frustrated, feeling let down, argumentative, and apathetic, I figured why not create a new thread that can make us argue with each other about different things relating to the club!

What's your unpopular opinion about Milton Keynes Dons?

Mine: We should never have built and moved to stadium:MK. I hate it. Never has any atmosphere, is at best 1/3 full and even then cannot generate an atmosphere due to two tiers and spreading out. Yes, I'm sure the commercial element has kept our club afloat, but I wish we'd bought and developed the National Hockey Stadium site to a 4 stand 15k capacity ground. We're already enough of a tinpot club that having a huge bowl mostly empty does no favours to anyone except the opposition. Every visiting club has the potential to outnumber us, which has happened a handful of times. How many other clubs have allowed themselves to be outnumbered, or even have 50-75% of the home fans numbers in the away end?

Camden will probably know this better, but I don’t think we would have got funding to buy the Hockey Stadium. The funding for our stadium was linked to the Asda deal, I believe.

Pretty much agreed on that but it is part of the club and why it came to be in thenfirst place.
In a dream world I'd have had a ground like Chesterfield/Colchester (With a bit more character) and had space to expand if our ambitions at the start were being met, which they aren't.

My unpopular opinion - as stated many times before. White kit is boring. I dont dislike them but I'd have liked purple (Come at me Camden) as it's original and colourful.

I appreciate Winky had the dream of us becoming premier league but I wish he would've just toned it down a little and settled for say a 15k seater stadium, we would've had a far better chance to regularly fill it and equally not get the piss taken at so much of it being empty.

It’s a pity we couldn’t have just the lower tier, then added the top one when we were perhaps an established championship team, it’s a total waste only being used very occasionally.

I also am not keen on an all white kit, I’d like us to use black and white, maybe black shirts, white shorts like we did a couple of weeks ago, purple could be the away strip!

The whole point of the move really was for the stadium. That was in development years, if not decades before the move.
"Toning it down" wasn't an option. Plus the 2018 world cup video imagine England won, we'd be looking at 10/15k more empty seats.

My unpopular opinions...

-We shouldn't be called 'Dons', it's awful and doesn't represent who we are anymore (even if it was appropriate at the time of the move)
-We do have a more toxic and abusive than average fanbase on social media that is super-impatient and quick to criticise anyone and everyone
-Much of the usual criticisms about the club have some truth (shite home atmosphere, poor attendances, the club's lack of 'soul')
