Byrds, CSN&Y and prodigious solo artist David Crosby has died at 81.

Not going to lie here, I always found him to be an enormous pain in the arse. Unnecessarily rude, a massive curmudgeon, taking credit for others work, and just plain nasty to his, many, ex-bandmates. Stephen Stills especially. Spent decades as a junkie, which he balance with decades as an alcoholic. However...

Boy oh boy could he sing. His harmony's with the aforementioned Stills and Graham Nash are out of this world. The early Byrds stuff isn't too shabby either. Just a shame he was such a pest.

RIP.

There was a quote from him on this morning's Today Program where he said that out of everyone he's ever been in a band with, not one of them talk to him. Which is a bit sad really.

I saw this. But I've never listened to any of his stuff. I mean ANY of it :shock: so I'll just take ya'll word for it.
I had however heard of his being a PIA.
I do recall the Jackson Browne 'Running On Empty' LP where there is a pic where JB (not that I'm a fan of his either) is wearing a T-Shirt that says 'Nasby and Crosh'. Always liked that.
