Legendary guitarist Jeff Beck has died from bacterial meningitis at the age of 78. Not my cup of tea to be honest. He was to the guitar what Mariah Carey is to singing. I.E. why play six notes when eighteen would do much better. However, it would be churlish to ignore his impact on rock music. |

Gers summary captures my thoughts too. Loved by some, very talented and very influential. Not my thing but I can see why people raved about him. RIP. |

As a Ramones fan unsurprisingly I'm not into widdling guitar solos but yeah, agree with both points. |
