Fleetwood Mac keyboards, and main songwriter, Christine McVie has passed away at 79 after a short illness.

For all of my artistic pretentiousness, liking willfully terrible music that sometimes defies the description of music, I have to say Rumours is a brilliant piece of work, and one that I’ve constantly listened to all of my adult life. It’s a great record, and she was both a brilliant musician and songwriter.

RIP - a huge talent and someone who came across as absolutely genuine, a lovely lady

Rumours is one of those rare and timeless albums from across the generation gap that I bought as presents for both of the little OFDs when they were (then) coming into teenage, it's a central plank in anyone's musical education, and one they have both gone on to love

Yup. (It may surprise some to know that I think) Rumours will live forever 'up there' in my mind with London Calling and Rocket To Russia.
