Status Quo bassist Alan Lancaster had passed away aged 72.

Not my cup of tea the Quo, so I don't really have anything to add really. There's been talk that he was suffering from M.S.

I was sad to hear it.
He was (apparently) rather 'difficult' in the prime of the band in terms of resorting to his fists to make a point - and you could see he wasn't the same on the clips of the Frantic Four on their last tour.
