Very distinctive voice.
I remember him from the Radio 1 days :oops: (Wasn't he on after Blackburn?)
Nice gentle character.
Liked him.

I'm pretty sure he was sacked after Thatcher died for saying there would be parties in the street. And wasn't he caught in a News If The World fake sheikh sting. Something to do with drugs if I remember.

He left Radio 1 because he insisted on playing the music he liked, and wouldn't adapt. Good on him.

You are right. Radio London sacked him for saying that.
(Don't know about the fake sheik thing).
